On Thursday night [20/8], a number of villians broke into the house of Mr George DREW, on the Circular Road above the New Barraks, and rifled the house of a great quantity of linnen, wearing apparel, and thirty seven guineas and a-half in bank notes,
and a pocket book containing several bills, memorandums, &c. Friday, a woman was detained at Mr JOYNT's Pawn Office, in offering some of the articles, and on examining her house some more of them were found she was committed to jail,
with a man named Patrick HAYES. Saturday morning the pocket book, containing some papers, were thrown over the garden wall, at Mr DREW's with the following scroll" DREW you have your book and bills now we want money more than youone
penny you shan't get morelet out our friend, or we will have your life if you walk Ireland's ground."
