In a few minutes afterwards, his son, who was to have slept with him, found his father a corpse at eleven o'clock. The verdict of the Coronor's jury was — that the deceased died from the visitation of God. His habits of living had been extremely irregular.

County Criminal Court—Friday

After Mr. Justice TORRENS had taken his seat on the Bench, a young boy about 14 years old, named Michael GLEESON, was placed at the bar, and pleaded guilty to a charge of sheep stealing. It was only two days before he was discharged for want of evidence under a similar charge.— He was sentenced to seven years transportation; on hearing the sentence he laconically replied "That's all I want."
