Mid-Week Update
It's Ekka day, so I don't have to go to work today. :) Haha suckers.
But that's not why I was writing today. Nor was it to say say, "hey, election next month". But now that I've mentioned it, there's an election next month. Last polls had the coalition 2 points ahead of labour, but Peter Beattie 50 odd points ahead as the favoured premier. Which is fair enough, given that I can't even name the other guy.
No, what I wanted to point out was this fantastic interview I caught on Enough Rope on Monday night with David hicks' lawyer. I don't watch Enough Rope, I was just flicking during ads, as I do, and ended up staying for this entire interview. It was really interesting, and I would really recommend checking out the transcript on the ABC website.
Well that's about it. I'm off to spend some time in the sun (I heard the other night on the news it's been about 310 days since we had more than 50mm of rain in a day, the state's just living up to it's name).
