Fort Lytton was constucted in 1880/ 1881 to defend the Town of Brisbane. It was also the centre of the State's military endeavours, and "Camps of Continuous Instruction" were held for the Queensland Defence Force. From 1991 to 1996 these were recreated involving reenactors from around Australia at a site specific time line event.
