From Campbell, an Aussie who made the trip to England specifically to see
the Beltring show. For a side trip he went to Bovington Tank Museum. The pictures
here are of the storage yard and new RAC monument.

The RAC monument with a typical English WW2 tank crew, the left
most member appears to be holding a "Besa", co-axial machine gun.

Some turrets in the holding/storage yard. From L to R, early Churchill
(2 Pdr), late Churchill - probably 6 Pdr, Cruiser turrets probably late (6 Pdr)
Crusader and early Covenanter/Crusader.

The Covenanter/Crusader turret close up. The prominent bulge on the left
cheek is odd, as is the mising piece of armour behind it. Neither appear to be
standard, perhaps a prototype?

A Mk VI or later Churchill. Note the Sturmtiger barrel on the
ground in front of it.

Pretty sad sight. This looks like an ex-gunnery range target.
It is either a Centaur or a Cromwell. Note the charcoal colour of the
tracks, to me, this is typical of the "long life" manganese steel track
introduced with the Valentine after the abysmal failure of the Crusader
and early pattern Matilda track.

A Saracen, very strangely for an English one this example appears
to still be an original cooling model. Most were converted to "reverse flow
cooling" so they did not cook the occupants, the giveaway is that the reverse
flow model has its grill covered by a large fairing.
My thanks to Campbell.
