WHO WE ARE
Infobyte is based in Sydney NSW, Australia (moving to Adelaide SA). The manager and
principal engineer is Geoffrey Veale.
We specialise in the design and manufacture of high quality long
term noise loggers. We also act as a distributor for Microtech
Gefell's range of measurement microphones and accessories.
Each year we create a small number of hand built noise loggers to order. Each unit is built and tested by the designer using discrete electronic components to ensure the highest performance, reliability and reparability. We care about our customers and constantly seek to improve and upgrade our products to protect your investment. The inherent quality and limited availability of our instruments ensures a long life and high retained value.

Ongoing development of the iM4 has resulted in a dual position mast mount.
Previously the logger was designed to stand with the carry handle on the top
(case upright) with the mast mounted in the vertical position. The new design
allows mounting in the old position and a new second position allows a vertical
mast with the case flat on the ground as shown in the below picture. Microphone
height above the base of the case is 1.5m with the case standing upright and
1.33m with the case flat on the ground. This gives the user a choice of case
positions to allow placement of the logger in a wider variety of
locations.
