Gillian
Handley is a freelance journalist based in Sydney, Australia. She has lived,
worked and studied in the UK, South Africa, USA and Australia. She has travelled
extensively in Europe, UK, Africa, North and South America and parts of the
Middle East.
After
completing her BA and Honours Degree in English Literature at the prestigious
Stellenbosch University in South Africa, Gillian began her career as a
copywriter for Ackermans, a major retail chain, based in Cape Town.
Since then,
Gillian has worked in the fields of advertising, marketing, public relations and
publishing. She has been self-employed since 1994 as a freelance journalist,
writer, web content provider, editor and subeditor. Clients have included VISA,
IAG, Verizon Business, Dymocks, Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, and many others.
Gillian’s
wide ranging experience allows her to appreciate many different aspects of a
project and ensures she remains commercially aware without sacrificing
creativity.
Gillian is a member of the
