I have written to this song before in the dim distant past but it’s one of those
songs that has stayed in my mind (and trust me, that’s a miracle these days! )
I guess it’s the whole concept of the words that got me hooked because I do
believe that country life is the way to go…… in spite of the fact that I sold my
farm a few years ago and moved to the coast. Country life is just so simple, but that
doesn’t mean ‘easy’ because there is always something tugging at your heart
strings… things like drought and other weather related hardships and of course
when you have livestock you also have deadstock……. And just because you turn
on the tap doesn’t mean you automatically get water either.
Yes, country life is living with mother nature and she can be very exacting!
It’s a rather rewarding lifestyle though, you reap what you sow!
Hope you enjoy the little dance ‘Country Life’
See you on the floor sometime...Jan
