MATILDA is a line dance club which has been around for 10 years now. It was initially formed as a club that promoted line dance competitions and trained judges. We held competitions and dance marathons around Australia and raised lots of money for various charities while having a good time. These days, with competitions on the decline, the only state which continues to hold functions is Victoria which still has an active committee and still makes money for charity.

It would be true to say that The Line Dance Mag, our club magazine, is the heart of MATILDA these days. Most people join MATILDA simply to get their 'Mag' and read all about it!

It has grown from a few pages of local information to become a much larger publication which now resembles a magazine rather than a member's newsletter. It offers lots of reading for the avid line dancer with interesting articles from dancers in Australia - and these days, also from readers in other parts of the world. It is produced bi monthly and posted to current members.

The cost of membership just covers the production of this magazine and on a good year it even covers the maintenance of the equipment needed to produce it. The other years we won't talk about! (-:
