Ó kimlzzy 2005

Open a new canvas and size to 600 pxls wide x 200 pxls high.

Insert Shape/Square/No Line
Fill with colour and add filters if desired.
Duplicate your background as many times as you need for your blinkie.
In this example, I will only need 2 backgrounds:
Press Crtl + c, go to File/New. The canvas size will automatically be the same as your blinkie. Click Done then Right Click on the new canvas and "paste".
Using this background:
Add a picture: Insert/Picture and select either "From Gallery" or "From My Computer".
OR you can use DIP’s Stamps. In order to put the stamp on it’s own layer so you can move it around: Insert/shape/square/no line/ no fill. Go to Effects/Paint/Stamps and select the one you like. Your stamp will now be on a separate layer so you can freely move and resize it to suit.
Add your text: Text/Insert Shaped Text

To change the font: Text/Font and select one you like.
When you have your picture and text in position:
Edit/Flatten All Objects.

Resize: Format/Resize Image and change it to 150x50 pixels.

Save as GIF: File/Save as…. Name your file blinkie001.gif
Working on the second background, add pictures and text as above.
Flatten and resize as above.
Save your work: File/Save as….. Name your file blinkie002.gif.
You need to make sure your files are open in the correct order. If your second file is at the top in the Files stack, left click on it and drag it underneath so they are in the correct order.

Animate your blinkie:
Tools/Flipbook

Your pictures are already open so click Next.

Select from either patterned or plain background.

Click Next.
Change the size to Custom 150x50 pxls

Adjust the speed of your blinkie. Try 1 second first. You can always go back and change it if necessary. Make sure "continuously" is checked.

Click Next.
You will now see a preview of your blinkie. If you are happy with the speed, click on Save and save it as blinkie.gif.
Click Done.
If you need to adjust the speed, click on the back arrow at the bottom left of the screen then continue as above.
Done!
