Filter Hearts in DIP
compiled by kimlizzy 2004

These instructions assume you have a working knowledge of DIP.
Plug-ins needed: DSB Flux available for download here –
http://www.photoshop-filters.com/html/dsb_flux.htm
Eye Candy 4000 (3000 should work also)
Open a blank canvas and size to suit. I used 4" x 4" here.
Insert>shape or line>shape>square>no line>no fill>stretch to fit (This transparent layer stops the filter application from cutting off the edges)
Insert>shape or line>shape>heart>default size
Format>shape or line>line thickness>none
Fill with colour or texture of choice
Duplicate (ctrl+d) 5 times so you have 6 hearts. They are all the same colour at this stage to make it easier to see them.
Selecting one heart at a time, fill with the colour or texture of your choice.
Now select the first heart and go to:
Effects>plug-in filters>Eye Candy 4000>Bevel Boss>Inner Bevel. I used the following settings:
Width 18
Height 50
Smoothness 80
Repeat with all hearts.
Arrange your hearts to suit (see above for idea).
When you are happy with the placement of your hearts lock all heart layers together then:
Format>resize object to fit canvas>stretch to fit.
Now lock the heart layer and the transparent layer together. I find that the transparency sits outside the canvas to I also resize to fit canvas. Now duplicate 3 times so you have 4 layers.
Select all layers then: Format>align multiple objects> left, Format>align multiple objects>top.
Select the bottom heart from stack then:
Effects>Plug-in Filters. Locate DSB Flux and launch the Bubbles filter with the following settings:
Bubbles: 45
Density: 60
Frequency: 65
Tune: 70
Done
Select the 2nd bottom heart from the stack then:
Go back to DSB Flux and use the Blast filter with the following settings:
Left
Percentage: 50
With the same heart repeat the Blast filter using:
Right
Percentage: 50
Select the 3rd bottom heart and apply Blast filter using:
Upward
Percentage: 50
Select the 2nd from top heart and apply Blast filter using:
Downwards
Percentage: 50
Lock all layers together.
Add a solid or textured background behind your graphic if desired.
Done
