Kaleidoscope Effect Frames

Plug-ins used: Eye Candy 4000

Open a new canvas and size to suit. I used 4"x4"
Insert shape/square. Resize to fit. Remove the line.
Fill with colour of choice.

Go to Effects/Filters/All and select Maze: True

Using the magic wand
click on the lighter
colour. Make sure "contiguous" is NOT selected on the Magic Wand
Palette.
Now click on the Scissors Button
to delete
the lighter colour.
Now click on the Object Tool
then anywhere on
your canvas.
Go to Effects/Plug-ins/Kaleidoscope 2.1. Select Mirror and adjust the sliders to get the look you like. I mostly select either 6 or 8 petals and then click on Random until I get an effect I like.


Go to Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 4000/Chrome. I used the following settings:
Click on Settings and select Silver.
See below for other settings.

Now insert a shape/no line/stretch to fit. Colour to suit.
Drag this layer to the bottom.
Keeping this shape selected, go to Effects/Filters/All and select Pointillist Blocks

Change the Coverage to 100%. Click on Done to return to workspace.
Still keeping this same layer selected, go to Effects/Filters/All and select Texturizer.
Click on Done to return to workspace. Enlarged view below.
Go to Edit/Flatten All Objects.
Select the Marquee Tool and mark out a square.
On the Marquee Palette select "adjust selection" and resize/position to suit.

Now click on the Scissors button
to delete
this selection.
Click on the Object Tool button.
Then click
on your frame to make it active.
Go back to Eye Candy 4000 Chrome filter and apply the same settings as before.
(By default the settings will be as you last used them.)

Save as PNG.
Experiment with different filters and chrome colours. The combinations are endless.
