Ó kimlizzy 2006

Making a rounded rectangle is easy to do.

If you insert a rounded square and stretch it out the round edges will be distorted.

With a few simple steps you can produce an evenly rounded edge.

Insert/Shape/square. Remove the line and fill with a colour.

Stretch your square into a rectangle by left clicking on the resizing circle and dragging out.

Insert/Shape/Rounded Square. Remove the line and fill with colour.

Position your square at the left end of the rectangle.

Zoom in to make sure your edges are lined up precisely.

Duplicate the rounded square: Ctrl + d.

The duplicate is automatically lined up with the original so simply move it across to

the right side of the rectangle by using the right arrow on the keyboard.

Flatten all layers: Edit/Flatten all objects

Right click and select Auto Fit Canvas to Selected Object.

Save as png to use as a template.
