Streaky Backgrounds in DIP

Plug-in required: DSB Flux (free)

Open a new canvas and size to suit.

Insert>Shape>Square

Format>Shape or Line>Line Thickness>None

Format>Resize Object to Fit Canvas>Fill

You will now apply a filter:

Effects>Filters>All Filters>Charcoal Dark Slanted

Done

You will now apply the plug-in:

*Note: You must complete each application of the plug-in fully or it won’t work. After applying the first effect you must click "Done" and return to the main DIP screen before returning to the plug-in:

Effects>Plug-in Filters>DSB Flux>Blast. Use the following settings:

Left

20%

Click OK then Done.

You will go back to the plug-in 3 more times in this order:

Upward Right Downward

20% 20% 20%

Because of the plug-in effect the outside of your image is larger than the canvas and transparent around the edge so you will need cut the edges off:

Format>Create a Cut-out>Cookie Shape Cutter>Square.

Make the square as large as possible without catching any of the transparency.

Click Next then "Leave in Original Project" and Done.

Select the bottom layer on the stack and delete it. Resize to fit canvas.

Save as a JPG.
