Tinting: Using the Edge Finder Tool

Open your picture.

Make a duplicate to work on: Edit/Duplicate whole picture

Close the original.

Select the Edge Finder Tool

Adjust the size of the brush to suit. (If the palette isn’t visible click on the Selection button on the toolbar.)

Left click on an edge to make your starting point. Left click at intervals around the edge until you reach the starting point again.

Click on the starting point to complete your selection.

On the palette select Adjust edges.

Each click of the mouse you made during the selection process will be marked with a square.

Left click where an adjustment needs to be made and drag the marching ants into the correct position.

Continue making adjustments until you are happy with the result. (You can click between the squares also.)

Click Done.

Select the Object Tool

Right click on your selection and "copy".

Right click on your selection and "paste".

Click on the bottom layer (the whole picture) to make it active.

Go to Effects/Black and White

**Option 1: Add filters to the background: Effects/Filters.

Option 2: Add a blur to the background: Touchup/Blur

Flatten the layers: Edit/Flatten all objects

Save as a jpg file.
