Using the Texturizer Plug-in in DIP
Ó 2005 kimlizzy
Extra texture brushes can’t be added to DIP but there is an alterative – the Texturizer Plug-in.
You can download it from http://www.dixielady.com/tutorials/SusanH/Texturiz.8bf
To use the plug-in: Go to Effects/Plug-in Filters and browse to Texturizer. There are 3 textures available but you can use any psd format picture to create many more.
Most of the texture pictures available on the net are in JPG format but they can be converted to PSD format if you have a program with format conversion capabilities. ACDSee is one such program.
However, all is not lost for those without a file conversion program. A search on Google will find textures in PSD format. One such site is http://www.jansdesigns.com/textures1.html
Download and unzip the textures into a folder named PSD Textures.
Using the downloaded textures:
Select the image/layer you want to texturize and go to:
Effects/Plug-in Filters/Texturizer.
In the Texture drop-down box select "Load Texture".

Browse to your PSD Textures folder and select a texture.
Adjust the scale and relief.
Click OK.
