An easy folk-like waltz inspired by John Shaw Neilson's poem of the same name.

CM 04 Malcolm Tattersall Sweet Nightingales
An affectionate tribute to some of the recorder's best known 'bird music,' in the form of a set of variations on the English folk-song The Sweet Nightingale. The variations adopt the styles of, and quote from, van Eyck's English Nightingale, Couperin's Rossignol and The Bird-Fancyer's Delight. Look at the first variation here (150 KB).

CM 07 Malcolm Tattersall Recorder Notebook 2
A second recorder tutor, to follow almost any beginning book. Its special feature is that it is set out so that players of any or all sizes of recorder can learn together. It is intended primarily for small-group instruction for children aged 8 to 14, but will also suit classroom use for Years 5 - 7.
