Welcoeme to the Hive Forge, a site dedicated to
necromunda war games terrain. My aim with this site was to present as much simple Necromunda terrain as possible. although there are lots of sites out there, not many have very simple buildings, that can be easily produced by beginners. although my site does not include a techniques section (As yet), it can be a good starting point for terrain builders. Each of my projects is marked for difficulty, with an easy, medium or hard rating. Please feel free to copy and print any of my material. I think copying is not cheating, just a sign that the item you copy is good. Naturally i welcome feed back, and even items you want me to add to this site. Send anything to puddingwrestler@hotmail.com (Wierd IS my middle name afterall)What is terrain?
Terrain is all the buildings and scenery you play war games around. (Such games include Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 etc.) Many people play with shop bought terrain, or don't even use it. I despise these people. They haven't even taken time to try making their own terrain. terrain making is very easy, and extremely rewarding. All the terrain on this site is really very simple, and can be made by beginners. Some projects are a little more tricky, so start on one of the smaller items.
Why use terrain?
With out terrain, your troops have no cover, and can go where they like. This is bad. Terrain provides cover, and gives you a wide range of interesting options. Terrain features can be used as objectives. You can even make interactive terrain, such as gun turrets, which you can take control of. Terrain really adds all the fun to war games.
Is it hard?
Making terrain is really simple. Well, most of the time. Some features can be simply boxes, painted and with windows stuck on. You can make spectacular rock formations from rocks. Terrain can be made form anything, and can usually be made simply by sticking extras on. Everything on this site is pretty simple, so go ahead, give it a go!
