We are like branches 
I do hope you agree 
Spreading our love 
On a friendship tree 

Trees tall and grand 
Of love made to last 
Among the branches 
Strong and steadfast 

Of strong foundation 
Deep into the earth 
From planting seeds 
Of value and worth 

Strengthened bough 
To shape and bend 
Branching of heart’s 
Represents a friend 

With waving gesture 
Sways in the breeze 
By providing shelter 
Evergreen canopies 

All becoming a part 
Portray you and me 
Share in the growth 
On a friendship tree

Verse after verse 
Hoping they grow 

With ideas planted 
As a worded seed 
Notion and mood 
The mind we feed 

Of poetic mixtures 
A garden to tend 
Seeds into verses 
Bitter sweet blend 

We begin to shine 
Creations to write 
Dispersing weeds 
As seeds find light 

In nurturing needs 
Of wishes granted 
Each verse grows 
Poet seed planted 

Emotional seeding 
Upon every mood 
Mind’s we nourish
