Light or dark

Knowing it’s the end 
Hoping you were true

Believing those dreams 
Knowing there fantasy 
Hoping always wishing 
Knowing we cannot be 

Believing your words 
Knowing false spoken 
Hoping good to come 
Knowing heart broken 

The many different things 
Are of the heart and mind
One holds the knowledge
The other foolishly blind
