Welcome

"AJP" is an original restored 1977 Holden HX Sandman Panelvan.
The panelvan was brought in July '77 by my parents from Shacks Holden in Fremantle, Western Australia.

The license plates "AJP" is in remembrance of my late father, Alexander Joseph Philippe, whom I also share the same initials. If you wish to read more about the panelvan and its dedication, read the Streetmachines article.

The Sandman has been kept completely original throughout its restoration, and I am aiming to have it look exactly as it would on the Shacks showroom floor back in 1977.

Please use the navigation bar on the left of your screen, to find out more about the history of my fathers Sandman, see restoration photos, current photos from the latest shows, and news of what could be happening next…

Update 10 Nov: What a busy week with the sandman! If anyone is going to Telstra Rally Australia, go check out the Shannons Insurance display, where my van will be on display! I am going to be taking some photos and posting them up soon in the 'Events' section. Unfortunatly I had to drive there in the rain, but Shannons assure me they'll have the car looking a million dollars for the start of the show.

I also had the great experience of being filmed for channel 10's show "DriveTime TV" which will be on next wednesday (17th Nov) at 11.45pm, I was pretty nervous, but had alot of fun. Again the weather was pretty average, and for the second time in its life since restoration the van was driven in the rain.
