Last year approximately 7,000 unwanted cats and kittens were euthanased by one
welfare society
in Perth,Western Australia. This carnage has to stop and money is needed for sterilisation and
education
programs.
Please help us save the cats by donating to the RSPCA in Western Australia

Why we need to sterilise/de-sex more cats in Western Australia.
1. The Problem
*****************
In Perth, the capital city of Western Australia (population just over a
million people),
there are only three organisations taking in stray cats and kittens. The
RSPCA and the APS (Animal Protection Society) only take in a few hundred
cats and kittens and they are "no kill" shelters.
The Cat Welfare Society (locally known as the Cat Haven) in Perth is the
only remaining shelter to take in unwanted cats and kittens. The Cat Haven
is not a "no kill" shelter.
Sometimes the Cat Haven has room for kittens and cats and sometimes it does
not.
When the Cat Haven is full, many cats and kittens are euthanased
because of limited facilities.
Last year the Cat Welfare Society (Cat Haven) euthanased approximately 7000
cats and kittens.
2. How do we stop the slaughter - A positive result
*********************************************
The RSPCA (WA) Inc (Royal Society for the Protection of Animals in Australia (WA) Inc) has very limited funding yet everyone agrees sterilisation/desexing is the most important issue regarding pet cats.
The RSPCA (WA) Inc. has a "no-kill" shelter and cats rehomed by the RSPCA are housed in the RSPCA's Malaga shelter until they are found a home.
Please donate generously to the RSPCA to help the cats.

The killing of thousands of helpless kittens and cats in Perth every year seems to have become habitual although numbers of euthanased cats have declined over several years.
