DISCERNMENT

INTRODUCTION

But when the Rebel comes, Satan will set to work. There will be all kinds of miracles and a deceptive show of signs and portents, and everything evil for the deception of those who are bound for destruction because they did not possess the love of truth that could have saved them. The reason why God is sending a power to delude them and make them believe what is untrue is to condemn all who refused to believe in the truth and chose wickedness instead.

I saw again the strange big church that was being built. There was nothing holy in it. In this church all the work was being done mechanically according to set rules and formulae. Everything was being done according to human reason. I saw all sorts of people, things, doctrines and opinions. There was something proud, presumptuous, and violent about it, and they seemed to be very successful. I did not see a single Angel nor a single Saint helping in the work.

I saw that many pastors allowed themselves to be taken up with ideas that were dangerous to the Church. They were building a great, strange, and extravagant church. Everyone was to be admitted in it in order to be united and have equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, sects of every description. Such was to be the new church, but God had other designs.

I see many excommunicated ecclesiastics who do not seem to be concerned about it, nor even aware of it. Yet they are (ipso facto) excommunicated whenever they co-operate in enterprises, enter into associations, and embrace opinions on which an anathema has been cast. It can be seen thereby that God ratifies the decrees, orders, and interdicts issued by the Head of the Church, and that He keeps them in force even though men show no concern for them, reject them, or laugh them to scorn.

        Looking around the ‘religious’ panorama of the world of our times, it is not hard to see what Anna Katarina saw and described to us in what was quoted above. Only one world organisation has declared open war on the Catholic Church ever since its adoption in New Dehli in 1961 of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s ‘Cosmic Christ’ as its ‘Christ’: that is, the “World Council of Churches” or WCC, and its ‘New Order’ composed totally of syncretism. No matter how many dioceses of the Catholic Church have been affiliated with National Councils of Churches (NCC’s), the war is unremitting and vicious.

        Not only is it impossible for the WCC to see and portray itself as the Church founded by Christ - since Christ founded only One Church and not a collection or Council of Churches - the Council is in fundamental error in pretending that, if it is searching for an as yet non-existing unity, it is complying with Christ’s wish “that all should be one”. The Council is on a collision course with the Holy Spirit on two counts:

1. In stipulating that no member ‘church’ may claim to possess the unity of Our Lord’s Church, let alone claim to enjoy that possession exclusively as the Holy Catholic Church does:-

   Nevertheless, our separated brethren, whether considered individually or as communities and churches, are not blessed with that unity which Jesus Christ wished to bestow on all those to whom He has given new birth into one body, and whom He has quickened to newness of life – that unity which the Holy Scriptures and the ancient Tradition of the Church proclaim.

   For it is through Christ’s Catholic Church alone, which is the universal help towards salvation, that the fulness of the means of salvation can be obtained. It was to the Apostolic College alone of which Peter is the head, that we believe that Our Lord entrusted all the blessings of the New Covenant, in order to establish on earth the One Body of Christ into which all those should be fully incorporated who belong in any way to the people of God.

2. The second way in which the WCC is on a collision course with the Holy Spirit is by forbidding any member ‘church’ to hold or teach what follows immediately from this claim of full possession of this exclusive unity: namely, the Dogmas of the Holy Roman Church. No one can truly believe to have inherited from Christ the ‘right’ to lay down that only that may be taught and believed which is common to all denominations, as such a claim has no foundation in Revealed Truth. This global peace-at-any-price in ‘religion’ is Antichrist’s prerequisite for a global peace-at-any-price in politics and economics. Catholics who believe strongly in what sets the Holy Catholic Church apart from any other ‘church’ will be denied the glory of being persecuted for their Faith. They will be haunted and universally rejected for being a menace to the political unity of the world with their ‘maverick Faith’ in a ‘maverick Church’.

After this brief Introduction on the practice of the WCC, it is my intention in this article on Discernment to have a close look at the hidden ‘doctrine’, so-called, that lies at the foundation of the open practice of the WCC: that is, the war on the Catholic Church.
