Matt Howard
Charter Boat Owners and Operators Association (CBOOA)
Matt Howard has owned and run a charter business Apache Charters since 1999. Matt has fished in the West Coast, Gascoyne and Pilbara regions since that time.
Matt is currently a member of the Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee representing charter fishing interests. Matt has been actively involved in recreational fishing interests on behalf of the CBOOA, including representing them on the stakeholder summit on west coast demersal fisheries management.
Matt has made his vessel available to the Department of Fisheries as part of pink snapper research.
The CBOOA has recently rejoined Recfishwest and is looking forward to contributing to future management developments through the Board.
Matt was elected to the Recfishwest Board at the Annual General Meeting in October 2009 for a 1 year term as one of five Association Board Members of Recfishwest.
