Welcome to the 7th Company
Essentially this section came about as I got rather bored with the old callsigns and needed to come up with something new. The way things work is that the more social outings people rock up to they gain a badge of honour. Badges equal higher status. Higher status means first dibs on drinking.
Perhaps this will even turn into a structured way of penalising both those that who decide to rock up but then pike earlier... hmm this thought has merit. Anyways, this is just a tempory page holder until I can assign people thier names, squad and current ranking.
In case you are wondering my role in all of this is to organise the inital process before the ranking system kicks in. From there I will take the role of Company Historian which involves attempting to remember the events of the night and assign the badge of honour (or dishonour).
So it should be a laugh... until it falls out of habit and I move onto some other form of entertainment.
For those that were wondering 7th Company comes from '07. In that most of us were, or are, under the employ of a certain ISP during that year. Some of us have gone on to other things but this group has a habit of still hanging together; which is bloody brilliant as I need the drinking company. |
