Welcome to Malvina Lake Rabbit Stud.

We are excited to finally have a website where we can share our enthusiasm and knowledge of rabbits with a wider group of people.

Malvina Lake Stud has grown in the past 12 years into one of Australia’s biggest and most respected Rabbit Studs.  Christine Toyer, and increasingly these days Elise, are both involved in breeding and showing a wide variety of Rabbit breeds.

With rabbit breeds including Dwarf, Miniature, Cashmere and Plush Lop Rabbits, Netherlands, Dutch, Tans, Smoke Pearl Furs and our beloved Rex Rabbits we aim to satisfy both folk looking for high quality  Purebred Show rabbits, or a healthy loveable, well handled pet to become part of your family.

After many years of careful development it is exciting to finally be ready to release the Plush Lop Breed more widely to the Australian scene and to chronicle the Australian history of this lovely new breed.

Christine Toyer is a qualified rabbit judge who has travelled overseas both to judge and to learn from experiencing the British rabbit shows first hand. She is a committee member for the Rabbit Exhibitors and Breeders Club based at  Wyee Hall NSW.

Malvina Lake Rabbit Stud has bred many show winners, especially in Black Otter and Ermine Rexes and is well known for their high quality coloured Rexes. We also have been instrumental in developing Chocolate Dwarf and Miniature Lops, which were unavailable in Australia until recently.
