A little info about Ian, in his own words, before we start the reading:
I'm not going to tell you my age but I have been a Trekker since the original series aired first run. Ian is both my writing handle and alter ego. By day I run a small high tech company or rather it runs me. By night I turn into the an acolyte fan-fiction writer learning the craft and aspiring to write as well as goddesses like Lori Summers, OdoGodess and Carolyn Fulton. I was recently drafted into the ASC archive staff by Constable Katie.
I wrote my first Trek tale "Their Two Scents Worth", a Voyager J/C tale three years ago which set the writers hook. It took nearly another year for me to release my second voyager story "Misconception". Also look carefully and you will find my story titles have multiple layers of meaning.
"Suitable Desires" was an O/K idea that wouldn't go away. "To Heir Apparently" was triggered by an observation of an O/K impossibility. Nope, no easy way out for me, No sir. I was now hooked on writing tales about the most difficult, fractious, stormy, flawed characters in the series and have two more planned before years end.
Oh yes, personal stuff. Currently residing in South Florida with my SO. Education Graduate Level (Engineering, Computers and Business). Hobbies: Gourmet cooking, collecting antique cookbooks, acrobatic flying (real airplanes), snow skiing and turning perfectly good lumber into sawdust.
